"5.6" Photography Magazine

«5.6» Magazine - noncommercial specialized edition, founded in 2010 by the Victor Marushchenko Photo School. "5.6" - one of the few unique platforms, which highlights and analyzes processes, occurring in contemporary photography.

Editorial, which publishes the magazine since 2010, as part of the work on the thematic issues constantly attracts new professionals to collaborate: art critics, culturologists, media theorists and others. In 2012, the "5.6" has released the issue that was entirely dedicated the Kharkov School of Photography. Today - it is one of the few attempts to systematize and understand the phenomenon with the help of which, Ukrainian Photography is known worldwide.

A new issue for which we are collecting funding will be devoted to an alternative destination in Ukrainian photography as well as young artists who have managed to make themselves interesting projects, both on the national and on the international art scene.

Crowdfunding practice is spreading rapidly around the world. Important social, educational and cultural projects are successfully supported with the help of public funds. This practice not only promotes the realization of independent ideas but also the consolidation of communities of interest. The "5.6" have already been supported by Ukrainian readers. With the help of them in the short term funds were raised for one of the issues.

Support of non-commercial publications is a participation in the development of independent art critics and impartial look at contemporary art where the photography is a great part of it.
